Spring 2022

How We Met

On a night out after a Savannah Bananas game where we saw each other but didn't have the confidence to do anything about it, we just so happened to end up at the same bar. Ash will tell you the story of our first conversation if you ask her about it (please do), but it was truly love at first sight.

Fall 2022 - Spring 2025

Life Comes at you Fast

Things moved quickly. Ty moved in with Ash in October and then after a year, we moved to Wisconsin for Ty's Master's degree. Fast forward eighteen months and we picked up again to head to Pittsburgh for work.

Spring 2026

The Proposal

After realizing that no matter where in the world we went, we only needed each other, Ty decided it was time to make it official. We took a trip to the Southern coast of Portugal where Ty dropped to a knee and asked the easiest question of his life.

Fly In

Savannah / Hilton Head International (SAV) is about 20 minutes from downtown and ~15 from Victory North. Larger hubs — Jacksonville (JAX) and Charleston (CHS) — are each roughly 2 hours by car. SAV has direct flights from most major cities.

Getting Around

Rideshares (Uber & Lyft) are quick and inexpensive all over Savannah. On the day itself you won’t need one — a shuttle will run between Hotel Indigo and Victory North.

Explore

Forsyth Park & its fountain, River Street, the squares, SCAD’s galleries, and historic Bonaventure Cemetery — plus a beach day at Tybee Island, about 25 minutes out. Ask us for our favorite restaurants!
